Hi, I’m Rita! 27, Portuguese, professional overthinker and proud homebody.

Founder of Artisani Studio, chronic candle-lighter and someone who truly believes that a single flame can change your whole mood.

I never planned on having a business (honestly, I screamed “NO” at the idea for years). I grew up thinking stability meant working for someone else and getting a guaranteed paycheck. Cute, right? Except I kept accidentally… well… starting businesses. Selling handmade bracelets at school. Designing agendas because none were cute enough. Making granola with my mum. Buying an apartment in college just so I could open a small rental business. Oops.

Fast forward: I entered the corporate world, managed entire store teams, expanded supermarkets across Portugal, and jumped into IT project management. Adult credibility? Achieved. Emotional fulfillment? Not even close. I felt like I was showing up to work wearing someone else’s personality. My creativity had a do-not-enter sign.

So I built something that felt like me — sarcastic, sensitive, cozy, honest, chaotic and deeply sentimental (in a funny way). That became Artisani.

🔥 How it all started

Candles were always my go-to ritual: for working, crying, manifesting, celebrating, avoiding decisions, pretending my life is a movie, you name it.

But there was one big problem… most candles sucked (sorry, someone had to say it). Parrafin-filled, artificial, boring names like “Vanilla #3” or “Fresh Something.” Zero personality. Zero mood. Zero “this candle understands me.”

So I started experimenting. Soy wax, gel wax, different wicks, weird decorations, spicy scents, cozy scents, personality-loaded scents. I wanted candles that behaved like friends with opinions — comforting, funny, honest, maybe a little dramatic.

And somewhere between testing formulas and burning my mum’s pans… a hobby turned into a business I couldn’t ignore.

The flame didn’t just light my room. It lit a part of me that had been waiting for permission to exist.

✨ The Brand Concept

Artisani isn’t here to be “aesthetic décor” you forget to light.

Our products are mood shifters, personality extenders and brutally honest sidekicks.

We don’t do vague inspirational quotes or zen-guru pretentiousness.

We do:
